Integrated Parking control cum guidance and management, CCTV, PA & Patron Assistance System

An Integrated system to streamline the following operations:

	Management of parking spaces and revenues.
	Control on access to various parking structures/Zones of the properties.
	Streamline flow of traffic inside the structure and minimize circulation of cars thereby reducing carbon monoxide levels.
	Display available number of parking spaces at strategic locations to guide patrons to appropriate structures.
	Ensure safety of property and patrons through Video Surveillance.
	Assist patrons through integrated intercom-CCTV-PA-Systems.
	Assist the law by timely reporting of unclaimed vehicles.
	Improve operator output and service ability.

The different subsystems can be classified as:

Parking Control and Revenue: Access to the structure be limited through vehicle barriers and ticket dispenser/Ticket Dispenser cum reader / proximity Card Reader.

Easy programming of fees depending on the hour of the day/day of the week/long term parking/seasonal changes, grace periods, etc.

Fee collection through exit manual cash terminals /credit card at Exit or by Central cashier/Pay on foot Auto Pay stations accepting coins, bank notes & credit cards along with Exit validation ticket readers.

Commercial establishments in the vicinity could extend incentives to users by offering discount tickets that could be used in lieu of cash or introduce back charging where the parking fees are charged to third parties through the system.

External vehicle counting/guidance system which counts the vehicle entering/leaving the building and each floor and displays available number of parking spaces in each level as well as display of full/closed messages in English and Arabic.

The Counting system is capable of interfacing with existing/future parking facilities variable message signs for display of floor wise status of the structure. These display boards could be extended to be used as space for commercial advertising/information purpose.

Outdoor high resolution dot matrix sign boards with super bright tricolour LED’s sized suitably based on type of Parking Structure and viewing distance allows good interaction with users.

Internal vehicle counting/guidance system which counts occupancy of different zones within a floor or zone and strategically located variable message sign (with green arrows and red cross) direct the vehicles to appropriate zone(s) or to next floor.

It is possible to extend the system by monitoring each parking space by use of ultrasonic sensors and provide Red/Green  indicators allowing the user to see a vacant space from distance.(Applicable only for covered parking structure).

Video surveillance system : A closed Television System allows the security personel to remotely monitor critical areas. Fixed cameras can be provided to permanently operator to scan various like drive ways and stairwell entrances.

Multiplexers with multiply keyboard control facility allow the operator to view up to 16 cameras simultaneously on large monitors. A second set of smaller monitors allows view of a selected camera. Remote keyboard and monitors at the main control room allows monitoring, selection and control of any camera.

The video surveillance system could be extended and integrated into parking system software where the ID Plate of each vehicle is kept in system memory with date time stamp of entry and removed on exit. The system can provide alarm lists when vehicles stay longer than pre programmed times. It can be made to forward such lists to the traffic department of police to assist in tracing of missing cars.

PA System: A multi zone paging mic and amplifiers in the control room allow the operator to select any floor or group of floors (or zones) and broadcast announcement through weather proof sound projectors through out the parking structure.

The system can be upgraded for background music, call for prayers emergency evacuation etc. alternatively this can be interfaced with the other systems in the facility for broadcast of multiple programmes.

Intercom System: vandal resistant, weather proof intercom stations can be provided near the stairwells/other strategic locations to allow patrons to call the security room for assistance.

When the intercom system is integrated with the CCTV system a call made for the help will automatically turn and zoom the nearest camera(s) into the area and the picture will automatically appear on the spot monitor. Similar alarm interfacing can be provided from parking system like ticket dispenser, card reader etc. with CCTV system to allow effective monitoring and recording of events.

The intercom system can be integrated with the PA system also. The operator can either converse with specific slave stations or make announcements to zones from the intercom master station.

Operator Interface: All the systems will be integrated to a common platform. This will allow the operator to control all systems from single PC with touch screen monitor with maps.

By use of Fiber Optic Cabling remote locations may be provided with computers that allows operators in remote locations complete access and control as the local operator.

Fiber Optic Interface: Depending upon the size of the structure and number of devices on line, it is advisable to use fiber optic transceivers for all equipments including ticket machines, cash points, cameras and intercoms. This allows easier cable management and lesser down time since faults could be located easily.

Options: the system could be interfaced with a central operator like the city Traffic Control Room on dedicated fiber or telephone lines to allow.
